I'll never buy anything revealing to wear because the idea of "modesty" from the Society has been so drummed into my skull. And anything I DO own that's above the knee is something I'd never have the nerve to wear out in public for fear of being seen by other Witnesses - even when I know of active sisters who DO wear short-shorts or above-the-knee skirts when out shopping. It's okay for them because they're "active". If a fader wore those clothes, there'd be talk about how "worldly" and "corrupted by Satan" I've become : (.

Odd things that come to mind when buying something!
by stuckinarut2 ini was just thinking about the odd things that arise when out shopping.. i saw a bag the other day, and thought "that would be a perfect 'service' bag as it is just the right size for....oh hang on...".
and when buying nice shoes, the thought is there somewhere..."these will be comfortable when walking around the streets...".
gotta laugh hey!

Anyone interested in their ashes on the moon?
by James Mixon infor only $12,500.00 your ashes can be put on the moon or $5,000 for a burial in low-earth orbit, where a travel-shampoo-size urn can spin for years at 17,000 mph until it gradually descends into the white-hot re-entry atmosphere.they hope to have a cemetery on the moon complete with plots and ceremonial adornments..just think every time it's a full moon you look up in the sky and you will always see you love one.
a thought, you are resurrected on the moon.....

Watchtower Internet Presence Spells Doom For the Cult With Every Passing Year.
by Brokeback Watchtower inthink of it : the internet as a source of information and exposing to human kind many alternative interpretations of literature content spells doom for watchtower bull shit as all countries raise their intelligence to what is right and wrong and what is self serving and biased by religious indoctrination, such consciousness will become so common place that religious bull shit will not be very tolerated by the masses as we proceed forward.
it is just a matter of excellorateded of information available to the mean average users.

@stuckinarut2 Do you reckon? WT has cleverly optimized all of the keywords to their advantage. If an interested person just Googles "Jehovah's Witnesses", you get so many JW.org pages just on page one :(.

"...you are resurrected on the moon" LOL. Too bad for those poor souls who had their ashes scattered at sea. They'll be brought back only to immediately drown.

Cognitive dissonance and mental gymnastics in social media!
by stuckinarut2 inso over the last few years, the witnesses i know (who were close friends in the past) who follow me on instagram social media have been steadily dropping off and blocking me..... but there are a small number who are still friends.. i have noticed one sad situation for one friend who is clearly battling cognitive dissonance.
if she posts a picture and i leave a nice comment on it, my comment quickly disappears.
(she must delete it i guess) but then soon after she sends a nice private message asking how we are, or commenting on the post or activity.

Theocratic warfare. Great video
by stuckinarut2 inwe all recall the appalling example of vin toole during the australian royal commission when he was questioned about"theocratic warefare".
here is a great video that shows how the society has used, and in turn tried to lie about "theocratic warfare".

@Still Totally ADD It's total crackpot nonsense that is playing with people's lives (and deaths). Totally reckless and COMPLETELY overstepping the boundaries between doctrine and conscience.

by Akid48 inas i have come to see i have way more friends at school than my kingdom hall but if i get asked about school and i say something about my friends or ask to hang out with my friends to my aunt she gives me a talk about not to like worldly people to much.. for example i ask to go to my friends house (that is a girl)i have known her from 1st grade and my aunt gets mad at me saying what if she says i raped her or something but she lets me go by my self with brothers to hang out if i want but theres a chance i will get raped there to.. read my other posts to understand my story .

@Akid48 My mother is the EXACT SAME toward worldly people. Disgusting, worst-case scenario generalizations. If I have a coffee at the mall with my toddler and the lady next to me strikes up a conversation about her grandson (for example), I'll happily engage. Now if I relay this pleasant chat to my mother, she'll GUARANTEED berate me for being so "stupid" to talk to a worldly stranger. "What if she's psycho? She could kidnap your son! People are sick! She could have followed you home and done something to you!" I promise you I'm not even exaggerating. I'd say I saw an old colleague while out and about and caught up about the company and how things are back at the office, and my mother would literally dry-retch, making a puking sound to express her disgust for me even acknowledging a worldly person on a social basis. She's a terrible, judgmental human being and I have her decades of WT brainwashing against worldly folks to thank.

And now in the Silver Sword, the timeline of Bible prophecy at the front shows Satan was cast out in heaven in "about 1914". About. Approximately. Circa. No mention of Jesus taking the throne, either. I sense this date will fall by the wayside in another decade or so. The next wave of JWs will recall the 1914 teaching with the same oblivion many (who are my age) recall the 1925 teaching. Old light.
